    The **Sr. Supervisor Revenue, Accounting** is responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition and revenue sharing agreements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606). This role manages a small team and ensures accurate and timely reporting of customer deposits and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial controls and revenue processes.

     

    This position reports to the **Sr. Manager, Accounting** and is based onsite out of our San Diego, CA office.

     

    As the Sr. Supervisor Revenue, Accounting you’ll be responsible for:

    Revenue Recognition & Revenue Sharing

    + Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.

    + Analyze and document revenue arrangements to determine appropriate recognition methods.

    + Review and interpret revenue sharing agreements; ensure accurate calculation and timely distribution of shared revenues.

    + Collaborate with legal and sales teams to review contract terms and assess accounting implications.

    Customer Deposits & Accounts Receivable

    + Monitor and reconcile customer deposits to ensure proper application and reporting.

    + Oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and aging analysis.

    + Work with internal teams and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

    Reporting & Compliance

    + Prepare monthly revenue reports and monthly reconciliations.

    + Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.

    + Maintain and improve internal controls related to revenue and receivables.

    Team Management

    + Supervise and mentor two accounting staff members.

    + Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide ongoing training and development.

    + Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

    You have:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

    + 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, including revenue recognition.

    + Experience managing or mentoring staff.

    + Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 (Software Revenue Recognition Preferred).

    + Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and Excel.

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Pay Range:

    Annual Salary: $66,000.00 - $93,000.00

     

    The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
