Position Summary
Perform evaluation, refurbishment, assembly, alignment and acceptance testing of automated electro-mechanical biological test systems on an advanced level while maintaining stock levels. Perform production functions safely within regulated environment.
Primary Duties
+ Perform sub-assembly and final assembly acceptance test operations accurately and timely.
+ Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations of a complicated nature.
+ Ensures proper completion of supporting documentation, following GDP guidelines.
+ Assist in training of Senior Assembler and other Technicians.
+ Perform any other job-related task as assigned by management procedures.
+ Ability to conduct advanced test procedures.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ A.A.S. in Electronics discipline plus two (2) years progressively responsible experience as an Electronic Technician or Instrument Manufacturing Technician. High School Diploma/GED with 3 years experience as an Electronic Technician or Instrument Manufacturing Technician. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly procedures, and perform advanced math as required.
+ Must possess knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical functions, advanced laws of electricity, microprocessor and analog systems.
+ Requires proficiency in the use of personal computers, excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical skills.
+ Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and possess strong verbal and written skills.
+ Knowledge and ability to conduct advanced test procedures.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
+ Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods
+ Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day
+ Repetitive hand and arm motions.
+ Ability to climb steps.
+ Lifting (up to 50Lbs) and moving containers of parts and various materials.
+ Must be able to push a wheeled cart that can weigh up to 400 lbs fully loaded.
+ Excellent personal hygiene required.
+ Appropriate gowning requirements necessary for the production areas.
+ Lab coats are required.
+ Occasional environmental odors may be prevalent
