Description

Join our Division of Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, where you'll provide both clinical and clerical support under the supervision of our full-time faculty and practice manager. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly specialized surgical practice, supporting patients through every step of their care.

+ Performing patient work-ups (medical history, visual acuity, photography, color vision tests)

+ Decontaminating and processing equipment and instrumentation

+ Assisting as surgical assistant or circulating scrub technician during procedures

+ Establishing and maintaining electronic patient charts

+ Assisting with phones, scheduling, authorizations, and collecting payments

Salary Range: $34.67-45.74 HourlyQualifications

Required:

+ Must be able to perform visual assessments and take visual histories accurately and efficiently.

+ Able to work rapidly and accurately with attention to detail.

+ Ability to be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record.

+ The ability to type 25 wpm and experience with computer data entry is mandatory.

+ Must be able to provide a comfortable caring atmosphere for patients.

+ Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.

+ Ability to communicate well with patients, staff, and doctors

+ Good organizational skills, and ability to follow up on tasks and see them through to completion

Preferred:

+ CPR certification.
