    Description

    A Data Analyst/Coordinator (Part-Time) position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Stephanie Griggs, which focuses on evaluating the efficacy of sleep and circadian interventions in adults with Type 1 diabetes. The research investigates the impact of these interventions across multiple domains including diabetes-specific health outcomes, cognitive performance, neural functioning, and cardiovascular health.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data.

    + Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained.

    + Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.

    + Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs.

    + Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.

    + Performs other related duties as required.

    ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

    + Collaborate with the Principal Investigator (PI), Program Associate, and study Statistician to organize study records and manage study data.

    + Oversee the management of large-scale time series data (~16,000 data points per participant over the course of the study).

    + Review time series databases and data collection forms submitted by data collection staff for completeness and accuracy.

    + Track the entry of study forms and perform routine data checks and audits.

    + Manage the randomization module for the study.

    + Maintain accurate tracking of data forms and study documentation.

    + Assist the PI in meeting regulatory requirements for study reporting.

    + Support the preparation of data and safety monitoring reports.

    + Collaborate with investigators on data analysis for manuscripts and presentations.

    + Contribute to the interpretation and reporting of study findings.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

     

    NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
