Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for a fractional Controller to support a client on a long-term part-time engagement in Dayton, Ohio. This role requires someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting and financial management. This role will oversee financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and providing expert insights into the financial operations of an online retail business. This role can be done in approximately 1 day (8-10 hours) per week and entails reviewing the work of a bookkeeping resource, as well as providing strategic direction and leadership on accounting matters.

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate journal entries to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Utilize QuickBooks and QuickBooks Enterprise to manage and analyze financial data.

• Provide recommendations to improve financial workflows and reporting.

• Offer insights into eCommerce financial operations, if applicable.

• Act as a second set of eyes on financial books to ensure precision.

Requirements • At least 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Enterprise.

• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong expertise in journal entries and account reconciliation.

• Experience handling month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

• Knowledge of eCommerce financial processes is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.

• Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration and interviewing.
