**Waste Connections** is looking for motivated individuals to join our team in **Somerset, KY** as **Drivers in Training** . This is a great opportunity for those looking to start a career in commercial driving. We’ll cover the cost of CDL school and provide paid training to help you earn your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Schedule:

+ Start Time: 5:30 AM

+ Hours: ~10 hours/day

+ Days: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

+ Participate in paid training and CDL school

+ Learn to operate a garbage truck safely and efficiently

+ Provide excellent customer service by maintaining clean and debris-free locations

+ Perform vehicle inspections and complete daily documentation

+ Attend all required training, briefings, and meetings

Requirements:

+ Must have a **clean driving record**

+ Must be able to **obtain a CDL permit** within first 30 days of employment

+ Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather

+ Must pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience in transportation or logistics is a plus

+ Customer service experience
