    We’re looking for a detail-oriented and insights-driven Category Analyst to support our Category Management team. In this role, you’ll analyze data, identify trends, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to optimize product mix, pricing, and performance across multiple categories, including beverages, snacks, and fresh food.

     

    This role is onsite and located at 412 E 10th St, Chattanooga, TN 37403

     

    Anticipated salary range: $50,000 - $60,000/year

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Analyze sales trends, consumer behavior, and product performance to guide category decisions

    + Assist with building and maintaining planograms and product assortments

    + Develop pricing and promotional recommendations based on market insights and internal KPIs

    + Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, and other analytics tools

    + Support vendor relations with data-driven insights to negotiate pricing and promotional opportunities

    + Monitor competitive activity and recommend strategies for category growth

    + Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Procurement teams to ensure cohesive category execution

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 2+ years of experience in data analysis, merchandising, or category support, preferably in foodservice, retail, or CPG

    + Advanced Excel skills required; Power BI experience strongly preferred

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to turn data into actionable insights

    + Experience working with large datasets and multiple stakeholders

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills
