    Summary:

    + Participates in planning, policy development and priority setting. Ensures that surgical services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.

    + Ensures compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.

    + Maintains a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO) and established national standards of care.

    + Collaborates with other directors, administrators, medical staff and other departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost effective manner.

    + Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    + Required - Bachelors - Nursing; Or - Bachelors - Related Field;

    + Preferred - Masters - Nursing; Preferred - Masters - Related Field

    Credentials:

    + Required - Registered Nurse

    + Preferred - CNOR (Surgical); Preferred - Nurse Specialist

    Experience:

    + Management experience
