Essential Job Duties:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable professional to support departmental financial operations and travel processes. The Temporary Bookkeeper role involves managing travel authorizations and reimbursements, reconciling purchasing card (PCard) transactions, and processing various financial entries. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of working independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with university guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
+ Initiate, review, and approve departmental travel authorizations and reimbursements.
+ Reconcile monthly PCard transactions and maintain accurate records.
+ Process journal vouchers, interdepartmental transactions, and small vouchers.
+ Complete Online Monthly Account Reconciliation ( OMAR ) to ensure financial accuracy.

Required Qualifications:
+ Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Strong attention to detail and accountability in managing financial records.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience at NC State University is a plus, but not required.
+ Familiarity with PeopleSoft financial systems, NC State spending guidelines, and the chart of accounts.
+ Prior experience performing similar financial and administrative tasks.
