Job Title: Ergonomics Specialist
Reporting to: Safety Manager
**Essential Job Functions** :
+ Conduct ergonomic job analysis, including task analysis, risk factor identification and quantification, and body mechanics analysis.Daily Payroll Time Sheet Edits and other payroll duties
+ Develop and maintain Physical Demand Assessments for all production positions
+ Implement and oversee facility wide ergonomic and injury prevention programs, including exercise initiatives and the Industrial Athlete Program.
+ Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to integrate ergonomics design into work processes and job rotations.
+ Monitor employees in conservative treatment or return to work programs, supporting medical restrictions and ergonomic interventions.
+ Partner with Occupational Nurse Manager and Employment Management team to asses and support employees’ ability to perform essential job functions.
+ Use data analysis to measure and reduce both direct and indirect costs of musculoskeletal disorders.
+ Conduct regular floor audits to verify compliance with safety and ergonomic expectations, identifying opportunities for improvement.
+ Facilitate onboarding safety training, ongoing ergonomic education, and employee engagement initiatives.
+ Lead and participate in workplace incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective ergonomic solutions.
+ Act as a resource to internal and external stakeholders on ergonomics, injury prevention and safety best practices.
**Experience Required** :
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Safety, Athletic Training, or related field.
+ Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in ergonomics, occupational health or a related safety field. Manufacturing/ production environment preferred.
+ Knowledge of ergonomics risk assessment tools and workplace safety programs.
**Skills/Abilities Required** :
+ NATBOC Certification or equivalent ergonomic certification preferred
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to design innovative ergonomic solutions
+ Ability to communicate safety vision, strategies and performance expectations effectively across all levels of the organization
+ Experience with ergonomic software, risk assessment tools and injury prevention program management.
+ Excellent organizational, time management and written/verbal communication skills
+ Ability to travel within the US overnight for training, conferences and support at other company sites
+ Flexibility to work extended hours as needed in both office (30%) and production (70%) environments, including exposure to chemicals, machinery and varying temperatures
