    The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is seeking an ELA-certified educator to lead the New Vision Allied Health program. This one-year, honors-level program provides high school seniors with fully immersive experiences in healthcare careers, combining rigorous academics with real-world exposure in professional medical settings.

     

    About CiTi BOCES CTE CiTi BOCES Career & Technical Education programs prepare students for success in college, careers, and life by blending academic rigor with hands-on, industry-based learning. Our New Vision programs offer motivated seniors a unique opportunity to explore career pathways while earning both high school and college credit in a professional setting.

     

    Program Highlights

     

    + Fully immersive learning environment blending academic and clinical experiences.

    + Students spend part of their week in hospital/healthcare rotations through partnerships.

    + Opportunities to collaborate with industry professionals, community organizations, and post-secondary institutions to support student learning and career readiness.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for assigned courses.

    + Integrate curriculum across disciplines to support authentic, real-world learning.

    + Supervise and guide students during healthcare rotations and community-based learning experiences.

    + Foster professional relationships with healthcare partners, higher education institutions, and community organizations to enhance program opportunities.

    + Serve as a liaison between CiTi BOCES, SUNY Oswego, and Oswego Health to coordinate scheduling, credentialing, and instructional alignment.

    + Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure success in both high school and college coursework.

    + Promote professional skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving within an allied health context.

    Job Qualifications

    + New York State ELA 7–12 certification required.

    + Eligible for credentialing as an adjunct instructor through SUNY Oswego.

    + Ability to meet requirements for health-based instruction with Oswego Health.

    + Experience integrating academic content with career-focused, experiential learning preferred.

    + Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, industry partners, and post-secondary institutions.

    + Commitment to fostering a collaborative and professional learning environment.
