We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate graduate-level intern pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience working with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities: Provide counseling under supervision in either residential group home settings or adult day service programs. Co-facilitate groups Assist in implementing individualized service plans. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews. Support people in building coping skills, emotional regulation, and social engagement. Document sessions and progress notes in accordance with agency standards. Learning Opportunities: Gain experience in dual-diagnosis treatment approaches. Learn to navigate systems of care for individuals with IDD. Develop skills in trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and person-centered planning. Requirements: Enrollment in a Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling or a related field. Interest in working with adults with IDD and mental health needs. Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students. The internship may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
