Security Operations Analyst, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a security operations center ( SOC ) analyst, you're in the middle of the action, resp ond ing to and mitigating threats in real time. You're the first line of cyber defense for your organization, and they look to you for guidance on best practices and security measures. We need a Tier 1 and 2 SOC analyst like you to help us secure critical infrastructure from the constant onslaught of cyber attacks against the DoD enterprise.

As a Security Operations Analyst on our team, you'll monitor and analyze threats using state-of-the-art tools and your cybersecurity skills to identify, remediate, and prevent future cybersecurity events.

You'll work with the team to understand, mitigate, and resp ond to threats quickly, restoring operations and limiting the impact. You'll analyze incidents to figure out just how many systems are affected and assist recovery efforts. You'll combine threat intelligence, event data, and assessments from recent events, and identify patterns to understand attackers' goals to stop them from succeeding. This is a great opportunity to hone your cybersecurity skills with hands-on experience in threat assessment and incident response.

You Have:

+ 2+ years of experience in cyber operations

+ Ability to communicate directly with system users

+ TS / SCI clearance

+ HS diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, or Asso cia te's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance ( IA ) , or IT field and 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity

+ DoD 8570 IAM or IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification

Nice If You Have:

+ Experience working in a help desk environment

+ Experience working in a SOC

+ Knowledge of DoD networks and systems

+ Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, IA, or IT field

+ Cyber Incident Response or Commer cia l Cloud Technology Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
