    We have a great opportunity for a Buyer/Planner in our Bluffton, Indiana location!

    Summary

    The position of Buyer/Planner will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and will work cooperatively

     

    with other members of the team. The Buyer will be responsible for creating purchase orders for sales

     

    orders and stock inventory. This individual will communicate daily with team members as well as the

     

    Purchasing Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Create PO’s to Vendors for Sales Orders.

    + Create PO’s to Vendors for Warehouse Stock.

    + Setup new parts numbers in M3

    + Establish and maintain MIN/MAX quantities in M3

    + Transfer stock between warehouses.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    + Ability to learn the product line and sourcing channels.

    + The individual in this position will frequently communicate with other members on order status and lead times.

    + Must be able to maintain accurate records.

    + Ability to work in M3

    + Research and locate new procurement channels for items being added to the product offerings.

    + Price and cost maintenance.

    + Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, copy machine, laptop, mobile device and computer printer.

    + Ability to learn technical material.

    + Exceptional time management skills.

    + Various projects as assigned.

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    + Minimum of HS Diploma or equivalent.

    + M3 experience.

    + Previous purchasing experience.

    + Ability to enter data in computer.

    + Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.

    + Valid Driver’s License required

    + Extremely detail oriented and accurate

    + Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

    + Must have a strong attendance record

    Working Conditions

    + The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance 7:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday

    + plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands.

    + Majority of work performed in shop or office setting

    + May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.

    Physical Requirements

    + Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
