    SUMMARY: This Adolescent Psychiatrist plays a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and supporting children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health disorders. This position involves comprehensive clinical assessments, development of individualized treatment plans, and the application of evidence-based psychotherapeutic and pharmacological interventions. The Child Psychiatrist collaborates closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care and promote optimal developmental outcomes. Additionally, the role includes providing clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff and trainees, fostering a supportive learning environment. Ultimately, the Child Psychiatrist contributes to advancing mental health care for young patients by integrating clinical expertise with compassionate patient-centered care. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations of patients presenting with mental health concerns. * Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions. * Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive patient care. * Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes. * Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. * Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. * Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in psychiatry. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS: * Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a residency in Psychiatry * Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry * Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in clinical assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders * Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities * Certificates, licenses and registrations required: * Valid medical licensure to practice psychiatry * Computer skills required: * Internet Software; * Spreadsheet Software (Excel); * Contract Management Systems; * Word Processing Software (Word); * Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); * Presentation software (PowerPoint); * Other skills required: * Electronic medical record experience
