    Description

    Are you an experienced accounting professional seeking a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and dynamic environment? Robert Half is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to support our clients in the White Plains, NY area. This is an ongoing opportunity with the potential for meaningful career growth while working with reputable organizations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to relevant regulations.

    + Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and conducting month-end and year-end closing processes.

    + Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

    + Process accounts payable and receivable, including managing invoices, purchase orders, and payment schedules.

    + Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure financial processes are streamlined and optimized.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws, including tax reporting and filing.

    + Assist with audits by preparing documentation and supporting the audit team as needed.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    + 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.

    + Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    + Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
