Responsibilities
Maplewood Surgery Center has 5 multispecialty ORs, 22 Pre/Post rooms, a 6-bed PACU, and a sterile processing department. Our specialties performed are largely urology, general, ENT, GYN and GI surgeries. This 1.0 Pre/Post manager will be responsible for managing approximately 15 total employees including Pre/Post nurses, a preadmissions RN and nursing assistants. This position will co-lead the center’s quality program, manage staff schedules and timecards and possess basic Pre/Post manager duties. There will also be times when the Pre/Post Manager covers the charge nurse role and relieves for nurse breaks. *Candidates who apply will have need strong Pre/Post Manager experience.
Responsibilities:
+ Assesses, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient's pathway to achieve identified outcomes
+ Assumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving services within the nursing department
+ Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective
+ Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position
+ Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit on assigned shift
+ Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Current Licensure in the State
+ Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course.
+ CNOR preferred
+ Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and/or BSN, Master's degree in Nursing/Management preferred.
