The Publix Accounting Automation & AI Team tackles challenges in automating complex processes and creating AI agents for repetitive tasks. As a Lead Business Systems Analyst, you will collaborate with enterprise teams to evaluate business processes, assess system and automation requirements, and work with developers to design innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Analyze business processes and gather requirements for enterprise technology solutions, focusing on workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.

+ Lead and participate in application requirements meetings using Agile and traditional methodologies.

+ Create comprehensive documentation for business workflows, system requirements, and desired outcomes.

+ Mentor analysts on best practices for business and system process analysis.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications.

+ Participate in an on-call rotation for system validation.

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus:

Year End Bonus:

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

+ 7+ years in a business systems analysis role.

+ 5+ years managing solution delivery in large-scale distributed environments.

+ 3+ years with enterprise database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).

+ Knowledge of Automation and AI methods (Robotic Process Automation, Agentic AI, Machine Learning).

+ Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

+ Experience in Agile environments using Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 9+ years in business systems analysis experience.

+ 9+ years planning, organizing, and managing solution delivery in large-scale distributed environments.

+ 9+ years leading implementation solutions, addressing bottlenecks, and managing timelines.

+ Knowledge of modern cloud infrastructures (Azure, Google).

+ Experience in data analysis, including creating and executing queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings.

+ Experience in project and problem management, change management, and other systems development processes.

+ Skilled in supporting data and process governance for accounting system compliance with company policies, standards, and SOX requirements.
