    Prime Air is seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Flight Safety and Compliance Officer (SCO) to join our dynamic team. As the local safety and flight operations expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of our drone delivery fleet.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Conduct regular evaluations of flight monitors, ground crew, and operations to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.

     

    - Monitor all aspects of flight safety at Prime Air delivery sites, including risk assessment and incident investigation.

     

    - Assist in creating and maintaining accurate records for assigned flight crew.

     

    - Serve as the primary point of contact for frontline regulatory partners during inspections and visits.

     

    - Analyze flight data and safety metrics to identify trends and potential risks, and report findings to senior leadership.

     

    - Conduct routine audits of flight operations, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) site safety, and compliance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

     

    - Stay informed on and comply with all applicable Flight Safety, WHS, and Flight Operations regulations and procedures.

     

    - Work collaboratively with all levels of the organization to promote a strong safety culture.

     

    - Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

     

    Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Current Part 107 license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

     

    - 2+ years experience in a safety-critical role

     

    - Strong knowledge and understanding of Flight Safety, WHS, and Flight Operations regulations and procedures.

     

    - Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in aviation, engineering, safety, or a related field.

     

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

     

    - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

     

    - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

     

    - Strong computer skills, proficient in relevant software applications.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $138,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
