Position Overview:

We are hiring full-time Trailer Jockeys to support our Schenectady, NY distribution center. This is a local-only position focused on trailer movements within the yard and loading areas. Drivers work within a structured, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Move trailers between docks, staging lanes, parking areas, and tandem zones

+ Operate yard tractors and tractor-trailers safely in a high-volume DC environment

+ Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse operations for efficient freight movement

+ Perform light trailer prep or loading tasks as assigned

+ Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues

+ Maintain accurate documentation and yard logs

Position Requirements:

+ Must be at least 18 years old

+ Valid CDL-A permit or license

+ Current DOT medical card

+ Clean MVR and driver abstract

+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

+ Able to lift up to 100 lbs and maneuver equipment in tight spaces

+ Prior yard jockey, spotter, or local CDL driving experience preferred

Compensation & Schedule:

+ Pay range: $19.00 – $24.95 per hour based on experience

+ Weekly pay with overtime opportunities
