Under the direction of the Director of APEX of St Peters, with minimal supervision, the Patient Account Representative, is able to work within the industry standard for DME days in A/R. Collects all information needed to bill a claim. Completes electronic and manual billing, working denials and accounts receivable. I s knowledgeable of the different insurance carriers and the regulations and coverage of each carrier. Promotes and ensures continuity in the quality of customer service administered by APEX of St Peters. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE : Previous medical billing experience. Experience in DME/Home 02 specific billing preferred.
EDUCATION : High school diploma or GED preferred. Two years or more of higher education preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION : None.
