    Job Description:

    **POSITION OVERVIEW** :

     

    Manages on-site activities on behalf of the project owner as assigned. This includes oversight and coordination of A&E and CMAR activities in accordance with project/client procedures, scope of work, and contract specifications. Serves as the primary point of contact for the Project Manager for all site-related activities. Work location will be at our client’s office in Window Rock, AZ and travel to various job sites within the Navajo Nation is required. Navajo language speaking skills are preferred but not required.

     

    **Projects:** Parsons is currently providing project management services for various projects ranging from pre-construction to construction administration on the Navajo Nation in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.

    **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES** :

    + Monitors project schedule and budget for all on-site activities, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements

    + Develops project documents, processes, and procedures required to support quality control and final project deliverables

    + Establishes objectives and conducts performance appraisals for direct reports

    + Monitors the CMAR project safety plan and ensures that it is communicated to all employees on the job site

    + Actively promotes and supports safety policies and monitors the job site for good safety practices

    + Posts all required legal notices at the job site

    + Reviews contractors site security measures and monitors site access by subcontractors and others

    + Prepares and submits summary of project progress and pending issues

    + Submits weekly and monthly reports to Project Manager, and responds to job site issues and expectations

    + Reviews pricing and assists A&E with negotiating changes to the scope of work by the general contractor and the subcontractors

    + Reviews bid documents and monitors subcontractor bid solicitation activities

    + Documents and recommend scope changes as needed to the Project Manager

    + Anticipates problems and works with the Project Manager, subcontractors/contractors to identify and implement corrective actions

    + Keeps Project Manager informed of the day-to-day activities of the project

    + Maintains accurate documentation of job progress through daily logs and other reports

    + Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

    + Must travel for work onsite in Window Rock and other locations within the Navajo Nation

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent) and typically 10+ years’ related work experience is required with at least 3+ years in a leadership role at a field site.

     

    **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE** :

    + Must have experience on CMAR projects

    + Experience with construction project values of $15M-$100M

    + Knowledge of project management processes, construction practices, and industry standards.

    + Proven leadership abilities

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver formal presentations.

    + Professional registration or certification such as PMP, P.E., or CCM is preferred but not required.

    **SKILLS/COMPETENCIES** :

     

    Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

    Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
