    Role Description

    Northramp is seeking bright, personable, and creative professionals who excel at delivering exceptional client services. As a consultant, you will help solve complex challenges, strengthen client relationships, and expand work under existing contracts through insight, quality, and collaboration.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of IT Asset and Configuration management best practices, as well as government IT Asset life-cycle management policies. They will also demonstrate the versatility to quickly learn new subject matter and understand that everything can be structured and optimized.

    We are currently looking for a consultant who will:

    + Track hardware assets from procurement through retirement, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.

    + Maintain detailed records of all IT hardware, including location, status, and ownership.

    + Collaborate with regional teams to ensure process and policy compliance.

    + Verify that assets comply with internal policies and external regulations; conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

    + Oversee the decommissioning and disposal of obsolete or end-of-life hardware.

    + Maintain compliance with licensing, maintenance agreements, and support contracts while seeking opportunities to optimize them according to Federal mandates such as FITARA reporting requirements.

    + Perform verification and audit of CMDB content by confirming hardware assets with actual inventory and initiating corrective actions to track them.

    + Establish configuration management and quality assurance standards while meeting or exceeding service performance indicators.

    + Facilitate warehouse-related hardware transfers and physically move and life hardware assets as needed.

    + Develop and maintain documentation for procedures, processes, and reports related to asset and configuration management.

    Required Qualifications

    + US Citizenship

    + Ability to pass a federal background check successfully and maintain eligibility for continued access authorizations, including periodic drug screenings, granted by such a successful background check.

    + Public Trust / IT-I / IT-II eligibility

    + Bachelor's Degree

    + Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

    + Ability to work independently and operate proactively

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity

    + Flexibility to adapt to changes in work scope to meet organizational goals

    Desired Qualifications

    + ITIL v3 Foundations certification
