    **Enterprise Meeting Services** **(EMS)** is a centralized global meetings and congresses team that offers best in class, compliant and seamless execution of meetings and congresses, utilizing efficient tools and processes to accelerate business requirements and deliver outstanding customer experiences. We take care of all aspects of health care providers and employee meetings and congresses for all business areas such as Marketing, Medical, Sales and others, delivering end-to-end support that includes strategic project management, consultancy, logistics planning and oversight, contracting, administrative and finance support, vendor management, on-site execution and facilitate transparency publication.

     

    Lilly Enterprise Meeting Services (EMS) internships offer robust opportunities for students to gain exposure to the organization, leverage key functional skills and make an impact. You will:

     

    + Contribute to Lilly’s EMS organization through your work and recommendations on relevant, challenging, business-critical project(s) in the meeting and events space.

    + Participate in a case study or project to assess and make recommendations on operational aspects of Lilly meetings and congresses. This will include a focus on supplier strategy and integrated, global communication plans/platforms. This project will provide an opportunity to hone your leadership and teamwork skills as you research, model and deliver a presentation to Lilly EMS leaders.

    + Learn about a “day-in-the-life” of a full-time EMS associate through discussion, participation and collaboration with peer mentors and associates

    + Involvement in various events, which will provide you with a further opportunity to:

    + Gain exposure and understanding of the various areas within Lilly’s Global Business Solutions organization

    + Build your understanding of Lilly’s growing role in the pharmaceutical industry

    + Network with Lilly leaders to gain insight into the function and culture

    + Further explore the city of Indianapolis and learn why it is a top 10 city in which to start a career

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Actively pursuing one of the following degrees: Business-related undergraduate degree with concentration/emphasis in General Business, Marketing, Liberal Arts or Event/Hospitality/Tourism Management

    + Will graduate by August 2027

    + Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

    Additional Functional Job Skills & Preference:

    + Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence

    + Clearly demonstrated analytical thought and aptitude

    + Strong problem-solving skills

    + Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

    + Previous experience with event / meeting management is preferred

    + Language fluency in English (written and verbal)

    + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    Additional Information:

    All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their internship performance

    + Lilly arranges various intern activities including sporting events, dinners, lunch and learns, volunteer activities etc. to provide opportunities for socializing, professional development, and learning more about Lilly.

    + Interns will receive 1 week of paid time off during the Lilly summer shut-down (June 29th, 2026 – July 3rd, 2026

    + 1:1 mentoring from an experienced professional in the function

    Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

     

    $43,000 - $110,000

     

    Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
