Responsibilities & Duties

+ Design, implement and streamline manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures.

+ Assist with continuous improvement 6-Sigma activities.

+ Assist in plant layout changes to improve flow and minimize waste.

+ Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the mechanical or electrical engineering/design field.

+ Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, as needed.

+ Develop processes and work instructions as required to reduce production costs.

+ Track labor hours to assigned programs.

+ Support production activities and requests as needed in a timely manner.

+ Attend Material Review Boards to disposition non-conforming material.

+ Good oral and written communication skills

+ Communicate problems succinctly and in a timely manner.

+ Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

+ Adhere to all company guidelines when it comes attendance.

+ Willing to work the necessary hours to complete tasks to fulfill shipment requirements.

+ Other tasks as required by the department manager

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering plus minimum of 2-4 years related engineering experience

+ Must be able to work independently with expected results

+ Open to learning new processes and procedures

+ Open to receiving feedback on performance and make modifications as necessary.

+ Must be open to assist and train others on how to perform their tasks.

+ Must be open to travel to customer locations, if necessary, on an infrequent basis

+ Must be open to training production staff

+ Must be open to communicate with department manager on a regular basis

+ Adherence to all company guidelines
