+ Clinical Instruction: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
+ Administrative Work (Remote or On-Site): Friday
About the Role:
Under the direction of the Dean or Assistant Dean, the Adjunct Nursing Faculty (RN) is responsible for the supervision and teaching of students during the clinical placement portion of nursing courses and for assisting the student in achieving clinical course objectives. Service to the college, community, health system, and profession are integral aspects of the Adjunct Nursing Faculty (RN) role.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to mentor future nurses while gaining valuable experience in nursing education. You’ll travel to multiple clinical sites to oversee direct patient care, facilitate post-clinical debriefings, and support students in developing clinical competencies.
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and guide students during clinical rotations
+ Administer and monitor direct patient care activities
+ Facilitate post-clinical debriefings and reflective learning sessions
+ Grade assignments, plan clinical activities, and complete administrative tasks
Clinical Courses Include:
+ Behavioral Health
+ Fundamentals in Nursing
+ Medical-Surgical Nursing I
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
+ Master’s degree in a related healthcare field (i.e. MSN, MPH) required
+ Active RN license
+ Minimum of 2 years of bedside or direct patient care experience preferred
+ Strong communication and mentoring skills
