    The opportunity

     

    Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. The maintenance department is responsible for on site maintenance of the property, guest-rooms, banquet facilities and associated grounds. Additional duties include pool upkeep, grounds maintenance, snow removal. The position has on call requirements and staggered start times, weekends and holidays as well.

    Pay

    $16.00 - $18.00 / hour

    What will you do?

     

    + Operate self-propelled and manually operated mowing equipment.

    + Water and mow golf tees, greens, roughs, and fairways.

    + See that grounds are kept neat and orderly.

    + Assist forestry crews in cleanup after trimming operations and in other forestry related work performed on the ground.

    + Cut grass, sprinkle lawns, trim hedges, rake leaves, pick up brush and branches.

    + Aerate and fertilize tees, greens, fairways and lawns.

    + Make minor repairs on mowers and other equipment.

    + Set up and repair fences including snow fences.

    + Operate safety devices on aerial lifts.

    + Operates motor vehicle as necessary

    More about you

    + Minimum of one year previous experience in landscaping or maintenance required.

    + No high school diploma or GED required.

    + Must have a valid drivers license

    Physical requirements

    + Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and to paint.

    + Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor.

    + Ability to lift up to 85 pounds occasionally.

    + Visual acuity sufficient for reading, performing repairs, and painting.

    + Exposed to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons, including variable temperatures and wet and/or humid conditions.

    + Occasionally exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals.

    + Noise level may be moderate to high.
