    Responsibilities:

    As an NPD Program Manager, you can expect to be our go-to for developing new products and identifying the best product options.

     

    + Develop new products and identify the best product options and offerings to meet performance and cost targets.

    + Drives the Integrated Product Team (IPT) process for medium-sized development programs, overseeing activities from proposal through product launch and initial production delivery, for both customer-funded and IR&D-authorized development efforts

    + Budget responsibility for assigned programs, including meeting Product Cost Targets based on future business projections determined with Product Line Management (PLM).

    + Develops and maintains positive customer relationships and ensures the customer's contractual requirements are fulfilled. Has responsibility for maintaining program schedule in accordance with customer and PSEMC requirements, controlling expenditures within the program budget, updating estimate to complete by program.

    + Reviews customer requests for quote and makes bid/no bid recommendations for opportunities involving product development.

    + Generates and releases program work authorization documentation defining the scope of work, schedule requirements, program budget, contractual requirements, and data items.

    + Prepares and presents program review reports for Advanced Product Development management.

    + Supports presentations for assigned proposals/programs to management and customers.

    + Maintains positive communication and relationships with all company functional areas to ensure program and customer requests and schedules are met, while maintaining an overall perspective of the goals of the company.

    + SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the APD and related processes.

    + Conduct analysis and modeling based on key pricing inputs to develop optimal pricing recommendations.

    + Identify and highlight key strategic considerations, develop credible business cases, and communicate rationale to senior management.

    + Gathers input from the Integrated Project Team to develop preliminary integrated master schedule (IMS) at the bid phase and manages and updates the IMS when acting as primary PM on program.

    + Ensures proposed schedules are achievable and facility capacity will be available at the time of anticipated order placement.

    + Responsible for the proposal schedule, cost to prepare proposal and budget.

    + Conducts contract negotiations on assigned programs in concert with the assigned Contract Manager.

    + Manage and lead major proposal efforts and programs across sites (CA and AZ).

    + Leads presentations for assigned proposals/programs to Management and Customers.

    + Works with PLM and Applications Engineering to develop and implement plans and strategies for expanding business opportunities with existing and new customers through the development and marketing of new products.

    + Manage and lead major proposal efforts and programs including those that involve multi-factory input.

    + Exposure to significant amounts of company sensitive information and data.

    + Travel as required.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications – External/internal:

    + Project Engineering experience a plus.

    + 7+ years of experience in a technical and manufacturing environment in the aerospace/defense industry

    + DOD pricing and contract experience desired. EVMS, Risk Register

    + 2+ years of leading a development IPT preferred.

    + Ability to work on site as needed with some remote options.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business/Marketing Degree with technical program experience

    Bonus or Equity

     

    This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

     

    Pay Range

     

    The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 144,600 - 268,680

     

    Is this role subject to ITAR?
