    KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio is Seattle’s NPR news station.     We have an outstanding opportunity for a **Campaign Strategy Manager** to develop and manage all aspects of campaign-related fundraising at KUOW. The Campaign Strategy Manager will work across multiple channels, including on-air, email, KUOW.org, newsletters, and podcasts. The position also oversees and champions KUOW’s CARS, Employee Giving and Matching Gift programs. The role is responsible for building and implementing strategies and tactics for 8-10 campaigns annually, from conception to post-campaign analysis, with the goal of growing KUOWs active donor file and meeting monthly and annual revenue goals.

    JOB SUCCESS SUMMARY

    The Campaign Strategy Manager leads the charge on multi-channel fundraising efforts that bring in around $5 million each year to support the station’s programming and operations. This role blends strategy, creativity, and coordination—bringing together campaigns across on-air, email, web, newsletters, and podcasts, while managing programs like CARS, Employee Giving, and Matching Gifts. Success means keeping projects on track, guiding internal teams and external vendors, and making sure everything aligns with brand standards and deadlines. It also means using data to understand what’s working, quickly adjusting plans, and always looking for ways to improve. People who thrive in this role are highly organized, collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and energized by using smart, audience-focused campaigns to support a mission they believe in.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Campaign Strategy and Management (60%)

    •Develop and execute strategies for annual, quarterly, and seasonal/periodic multi-channel fundraising campaigns.

    •Manage campaign planning, create complex schedules, and allocate resources for KUOW campaigns.

    •Develop and ensure implementation of campaign briefs and campaign codes in accordance with KUOW procedures.

    •Draft on-air copy and scripts.

    •Draft website, social media, and solicitation email copy.

    •Recruit internal support for campaigns and communicate with staff and vendors to ensure each campaign is implemented according to plans and goals.

    •Develop and distribute training and support materials, ensuring colleagues and vendors are prepared and empowered to achieve campaign goals.

    Asset Coordination for Donor Engagement (10%)

    •Organize and oversee the development and dissemination of on-air and digital assets (audio spots and digital ads), including for Campaigns, Employee, Matching, Mid/Major/Planned Giving.

    •Route assets through internal procedures, systems, and teams, adhering to procedures and deadlines for production.

    •Collaborate with other departments to ensure campaign assets are deployed and integrated across all platforms and channels.

    Employee & Matching Gift Programs Management (5%)

    •Direct and advise KUOW’s Matching Gift program, including managing vendor(s) systems and compliance with program guidelines and KUOW’s brand guidelines.

    •Assess and enhance annual plans to maximize revenue.

    •Develop annual strategies for increasing Employee Giving revenue from current and prospective donors employed within the public and private sectors.

    •Oversee KUOW premium inventory, pricing, ordering, and production, ensuring expenses align with budgets.

    •Plan and implement at least 2 in-station “thank-a-thon” events annually.

    CARS Program Support (5%)

    •Support the implementation of KUOW’s CARS Program, ensuring promotional materials are reviewed and updated annually.

    •Ensure obligations to KUOW Sponsors are met and that digital and audio assets are built and trafficked according to contractual agreements.

    •Ensures KUOW adheres to obligations of CARS vendor’s Premier Status

    Financial Oversight (5%)

    •Ensure all campaign and program expenses within the role’s purview are within budget, pre-approved, documented, and routed through the Director of Donor Engagement for approval before submission to Finance for payment.

    Technology & Training (5%)

    •Monitor technology needs to optimize campaign performance and assist with training and procedural documentation as needed.

    •Collaborate with colleagues and vendors to routinely review and update campaign digital assets.

    Events & In-Station Experiences (5%)

    •Support and participate in cultivation and stewardship activities, including donor-related events and in-station experience.

    •Participate in annual development for Donor Engagement team and activities.

    Other Duties (5%)

    •Perform other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISION

    Position reports to KUOW’s Director of Donor Engagement. It does not have any direct reports.

    + Lead collaboration efforts across various departments to integrate campaign assets and strategies into all KUOW platforms and channels, ensuring cohesive and effective outreach.

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and campaign objectives are met.

    + Oversee and manage key fundraising programs, including the CARS program, Employee Giving, and Matching Gift programs, ensuring these initiatives contribute to KUOW’s overall fundraising success. Lead the assessment and enhancement of these programs to maximize revenue, including the management of vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with KUOW’s brand guidelines.

    + Lead the development and dissemination of training and support materials for colleagues and vendors involved in campaign execution, ensuring they are well-prepared and equipped to achieve campaign goals.

    + Lead the coordination and deployment of campaign-related assets (e.g., audio spots, digital ads) across multiple platforms, ensuring timely production and adherence to procedures.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, nonprofit management or related field.

    + At least 3 years of experience in campaign strategy, fundraising, or related fields.

    + The candidate must have a proven history of managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns, with experience in project management, content development for diverse platforms, and vendor relationship management.

    + Experience in budget management and financial tracking is required, along with proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.

    + Equivalent knowledge and skills may substitute for education and/or experience.

    + Demonstrated commitment to diversity and leadership with a racial equity and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging lens.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    + Duties may occasionally require evening and weekend work when necessary to meet critical deadlines and/or to attend station events.

    + Position is suitable/eligible for Hybrid/Occasional Telework.
