The role you'll contribute:
Directly supports physicians, and nurses with the preparation and set up of specialized procedures and equipment. Anticipates instrument needs intra procedure and assists the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Will also be responsible for assisting in high risk procedures which may be highly technical and require specialized accessories and equipment. Will help maintain and set supply levels for endoscopy area and procedures rooms.

Supports physicians, physician assistants, the anesthesia team, and nurses during invasive procedures
Function as an Endoscopy technician during procedures by
assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure;
assisting with placement of drapes;
maintaining an organized workspace; and
assist with positioning;
Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
Utilizes equipment according to manufacturers recommendations and TEC Policy & Procedures
Assist with postprocedure cleaning of the procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients
Maintain scopes and accessories according to standards, TEC Policy & Procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
Supports direct care providers in the Prep, Procedure (GI, Pulmonary, pain management) and Recovery Room environment
Assist nursing in the endoscopy centers with admission, recovery, discharge and transport.
Contributes to new staff orientation and to students learning by serving as a preceptor when required.
Provides age appropriate care to patients.
Supports Endoscopy Care Environment.
Maintains necessary skills and competencies.
Seeks guidance and direction in the performance of responsibilities and duties.
Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities.
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
Actively participates in Performance Improvement initiatives.
Upholds professional standards of performance and conduct.
Any additional duties assigned in support of perioperative patient care
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:
**Minimum qualifications** :
High School Diploma or Equivalent
BLS
Patient care and SPD experience preferred
