    NETWORK ARCHITECT

    We are seeking a **highly skilled IT Network Architect** to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in large-scale LAN/WAN environments, datacenter and security design, and network optimization. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with business objectives.

     

    This is an **on-site role** in Lawrenceville, GA, and requires a successful background check clearance.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design, plan, and maintain large-scale LAN/WAN, WLAN, and VPN network infrastructures.

    + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define architecture objectives.

    + Create detailed network architecture diagrams, documentation, and specifications.

    + Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and protocols.

    + Lead implementation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

    + Design and implement security measures including access controls, encryption, and intrusion prevention/detection.

    + Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and reliability.

    + Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

    + Provide leadership and technical guidance across IT teams.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience supporting networks in enterprise environments.

    + 4+ years of experience designing LAN/WAN infrastructures.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

    + Proven experience as a Network Architect in enterprise environments.

    + Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs).

    + Experience with leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Arista).

    + Strong understanding of security best practices (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).

    + Proficiency with monitoring/management tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).

    + Relevant certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, CISSP, etc.) strongly preferred.
