    NOTICE OF POSITION

    POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

     

    CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION PART-TIME CLINICAL TEACHER NURSING ASSISTING PROGRAM PS 197 MATH SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY PREPARATORY SCHOOL

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be a New York State Licensed Registered Nurse. Candidates should be experienced in a long-term healthcare facility and in-home care is preferred. The candidate should have the ability to work with certified nursing staff and the high school’s certified nurse assistant students in a long-term heath care facility. DUTIES: Candidate will need to be able to teach, practice and direct students in the proper care of long-term health care residence and in-home clients. The teacher must be able to teach ethical behaviors in nurse assisting and critical skills related to the nurse assisting job while getting them ready for future clinical application lab, clinicals at an affiliated facility and the State CNA licensing assessment. APPOINTMENT: Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate. SALARY: Teacher’s salary schedule, part-time hourly. FUND #: Pending Funding FINAL DATE FOR FILING: SEPTEMBER 9, 2025
