Senior Statutory Accountant

About the Role

A leading global insurer is seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant to join its growing team. This role is a key contributor to statutory reporting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance, with strong visibility across leadership and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Main Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and file quarterly and annual statutory financial statements for multiple entities.

+ Ensure compliance with Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and regulatory requirements.

+ Coordinate with external auditors and regulators during statutory audits and examinations.

+ Collaborate with Tax, GAAP Reporting, and Compliance teams for accurate reporting.

+ Maintain internal controls over statutory reporting in compliance with NAIC MAR.

+ Support ad hoc projects and process/system improvements.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or progress toward preferred.

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in property-casualty insurance.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP & NAIC statutory accounting.

+ Solid technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
