Description We are looking for a skilled Communication Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this contract role, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies to support organizational goals. This position requires a creative and meticulous individual who excels in crafting impactful messaging across various platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication plans that align with organizational objectives and promote brand awareness.

• Create and edit high-quality content such as press releases, social media posts, and blog articles.

• Manage media relations, including responding to inquiries and coordinating with reporters.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers and marketing staff, to ensure cohesive messaging.

• Plan and execute promotional campaigns that drive engagement and visibility.

• Oversee the production of marketing materials, such as brochures and advertisements.

• Utilize content management systems to publish and organize digital content effectively.

• Monitor and analyze the performance of communication efforts, making recommendations for improvement.

• Engage with stakeholders, including students and attorneys, to foster community awareness and transparency.

• Ensure all communication outputs are consistent with the organization's branding guidelines. Requirements • Proven experience in media relations, public relations, or marketing communications.

• Exceptional writing skills, with a focus on crafting press releases and other precise messaging.

• Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, and content management systems.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse audiences, including reporters and attorneys.

• Background in nonprofit, legal, or higher education settings is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in campaign planning and email marketing platforms.
