    **Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems** sector is currently seeking a **Manager Mission Assurance Level 1** to support **on-site** at our **Rocket Center, West Virginia** location.

     

    Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman.     NGDS’s Missile Products Division is seeking a manager for Mission Assurance Engineering at our Allegany Ballistics Lab (ABL) location in Rocket Center, WV. ABL develops and manufactures a broad range of products, primarily for defense, with a focus on tactical solid rocket propulsion. This technical management position oversees a team Mission Assurance Engineers.

    Responsibilities for this position include:

    + Manage the daily operations of Mission Assurance Engineers

    + Provide leadership and development support to team members

    + Analyze data and drive process improvements

    + Review and/or develop inspection plans based upon statistical methods

    + Use Lean tools such as risk assessment, 8D, DFMEA and/or PFMEA

    + Be a liaison with DCMA

    + Assure established policies and procedures are being followed

    + Manage group staffing to meet workload

    Skills Needed:

    + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Ability to make sound technical decisions

    + Attention to details

    + Ability to multi-task

    + Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

    Position Requirements:

    + BS or higher degree in STEM

    + Must be a US citizen

    + At least 6 years of Relevant Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

    Experience Preferred:

    + Able to use custom manufacturing software (i.e. Solumina) to maintain quality records, traceability, etc.

    + Lean Six Sigma training and certification

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $101,900.00 - $152,900.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
