Job Description

**Job Summary:** The Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient inventory control, and supporting the overall operations of the warehouse or inventory department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that inventory levels are accurate, stock is appropriately managed, and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Inventory Management:**

+ Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular counts, audits, and reconciliations.

+ Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.

+ Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.

+ **Data Entry and Documentation:**

+ Accurately enter inventory data into the inventory management system.

+ Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including receiving reports, transfer records, and inventory adjustment forms.

+ **Receiving and Shipping:**

+ Assist with the receiving of incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.

+ Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.

+ **Discrepancy Resolution:**

+ Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and mislabeling.

+ Collaborate with other departments to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

+ **Warehouse Organization:**

+ Help maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.

+ Ensure that inventory is stored in a safe and accessible manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.

+ **Reporting:**

+ Generate regular inventory reports and provide insights to management regarding inventory trends and issues.

+ Assist in the preparation of periodic and ad-hoc inventory reports as required.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education experience in a related field is a plus.

+ Entry level position, no previous inventory management experience required. Warehouse experience is a plus

+ Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

+ Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

+ This position may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

+ Work is primarily performed in a warehouse or storage facility environment.

+ Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet inventory deadlines.
