    Step into a pivotal role where you’ll be the heartbeat of amultidisciplinary team, guiding students through social work interventions withempathy and expertise. As a School Social Worker , you will play acrucial part in developing Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and IndividualizedEducation Programs (IEPs) to ensure every student receives the supportthey need to thrive academically and personally.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs and develop IHPs and IEPs.

    + Provide direct social work services to students and families.

    + Support students in overcoming social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

    + Coordinate with school staff, counselors, psychologists, and external agencies.

    + Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all professional standards and regulations.

    + Participate in ongoing ethics and boundary training as required by the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Master’s Degree in Social Work.

    + Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement (DPI Certification #50).

    + May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract, or facility.

    + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable).

    + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable).

    + Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation).

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    Preferred Experience

    + Minimum of three years of experience in a recognized social service agency working with children and families.

    + Training in school-related and/or social work settings.

    + Experience coordinating with school teams including principals, counselors, psychologists, and support staff.

     

    Team Coordination

    + Director of Student Services

    + Building Principals

    + Special Education Chair

    + School Counselors

    + School Psychologists

    + Teachers and Support Staff
