    About the role:

    The **Iron Technician I (2nd Shift)** provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components in the oil and gas industry.

    Additional Information:

    + Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

    + **Work Schedule:** 6 PM - 3 AM, Monday - Friday, with overtime as needed.

    + **Starting Pay:** $21.90 base pay, can be adjusted with experience.

    What you will do:

    + At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

    + Process incoming iron starts to finish.  Able to accept equipment from delivery, recertify equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory (without supervision)

    + Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of flow control product to produce high quality product

    + Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components

    + Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections

    + Disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

    + Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area

    + Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture

    + Perform additional duties as assigned

    What you will have:

    + Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience _is desired but not required_

    + Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic

    + Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers and screw drivers

    + Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment

    Physical Demands:

    + Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

    + Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    + Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

    + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

    + Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

    Work Environment:

    + Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

    + Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

    + Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

    + Noise Level: Moderate

    Summary Pay Range:

    $21.90 - $29.35
