About the Role: Director of Nursing

As a Director of Nursing, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Hearthstone in Pella.

As a Director of Nursing, you will:

+ **Lead and manage nursing department operations** , ensuring compliance with long-term care regulations and high-quality service delivery.

+ **Promote a resident-centered care environment** , fostering independence and personalized care through team coaching and relationship-building.

+ **Ensure clinical excellence and continuity of care** , collaborating with other health service directors and overseeing care planning and coordination.

+ **Drive team development and performance** , leading hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching to support a high-performing team.

+ **Monitor departmental efficiency and outcomes** , managing staffing, safety, budgeting, and reporting to leadership on improvements and results.

Qualifications:

+ **Licensed RN in Iowa** , with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing

+ **3–5 years of leadership experience** in geriatric nursing administration required

+ **Strong knowledge of regulations and clinical standards** , with expertise in compliance and quality assurance

+ **Proven ability to lead change** , advocate for resident-directed care, and collaborate across internal and external teams
