Controls Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Design and implement electrical systems and controls, focusing on ladder logic.
+ Provide technical expertise and support for automation projects, particularly with Allen Bradley systems.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
+ Oversee PLC installation and programming to optimize manufacturing processes.
+ Act as the primary subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to 4 or more Controls Technicians.
MINIMU REQUIREMENT
+ 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on ladder logic and controls.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards.
+ Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, particularly in automation systems.
+ Experience with Allen Bradley systems and PLC programming.
+ Experience supporting manufacturing environments.
+ Experience with PLC installation and programming.
+ Technical skills in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including designing, programming, and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of automation and robotics principles for integrating and optimizing automated systems.
+ Proficiency in industrial instrumentation and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for monitoring and managing processes.
+ Ability to design complex control systems, including hardware and software integration.
+ Skill in programming languages for algorithm development and system simulation.
+ Understanding of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, fieldbus) and network design for communication between devices.
