    Description

    Are you an organized and detail-oriented financial expert with a passion for accuracy? Robert Half is partnering with a well-established organization in San Diego, CA to hire a Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term stability within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Process and maintain accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    + Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.

    + Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring proper coding of all transactions.

    + Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.

    + Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

    + Monitor budgets, expenses, and financial forecasting in coordination with management.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including preparing sales tax filings.

    + Support payroll processing and related tasks.

    + Maintain organized and thorough documentation for audits and financial reviews.

    Requirements

    + Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper, or in a related accounting role.

    + Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop or online), Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting best practices.

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience).

    + Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus.

    + Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
