Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Stratford, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will assist with various legal tasks, including drafting and reviewing agreements, managing trademark filings, and supporting attorneys on diverse projects. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of the legal department while gaining valuable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and manage agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and distribution contracts.

• Assist with filing trademarks and other intellectual property-related documentation with the USPTO.

• Organize and input data to track the performance and activities of the legal department.

• Support attorneys by conducting research and compiling information for ongoing legal projects.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards in all agreements and filings.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address legal inquiries and provide necessary documentation.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all legal processes.

• Handle administrative tasks related to contract management and legal filings. Requirements • Proven experience in handling USPTO filings and intellectual property documentation.

• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, including distribution agreements.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.

• Proficiency in legal research and data management.

• Effective communication skills to support collaboration with attorneys and internal teams.

• Familiarity with trademark filing procedures and intellectual property regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Certification, or a related field preferred.

• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
