Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing the monthly financial close process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and managing external audit requests. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles and strong organizational and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and financials are accurate and complete.
+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to gather necessary financial data and ensure compliance with internal policies.
+ Support the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing audit requests, walkthroughs, and coordinating the timely delivery of schedules and documentation.
+ Continuously assess and improve internal accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls and participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
+ Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their development.

Requirements
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
+ 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
+ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
+ Demonstrated experience managing the month-end close process.
+ Experience working with external auditors and managing audit engagements.
+ Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and strong Microsoft Excel.
+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Non-Profit accounting experience is a plus!
