Job Description
Position Purpose:
Assists in the daily operation of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, as well as the Distribution and Collection Systems. Performs routine maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds under direct supervision. Have the ability to learn the process for the operation and services for items listed below.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Assists in the operation and maintenance and related equipment at a 1 MGD Water Treatment facility and associated distribution system. Assists in the operation and maintenance of related equipment at a .250 MGD Wastewater Treatment facility and associated Collection system.
+ Perform meter installation and monthly meter reading.
+ Performs maintenance and housekeeping of the facilities and grounds.
+ Monitors treatment process operating parameters and automatic control functions, reports problems and may make adjustments as directed.
+ Assists in the implementation of standard operating procedures, safety and preventative maintenance procedures.
+ Performs simple, routine monitoring and performance tests for treatment process. Records result in operating logs.
+ Inspects equipment, reports problems and performs minor maintenance or repair.
+ Assist in customer service.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
+ High School Diploma/GED is required.
+ Entry-level position.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
+ Basic CPU Skills required.
+ Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful.
+ Good organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
+ Ability to obtain a Class III Wisconsin Water Operators Licenses within one year of start date required.
+ Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to regularly lift at least 70 lbs required.
