The Siemens Energy (SE) Customs team supports SE businesses
in all customs related matters, ensuring full compliance with applicable
customs regulations and internal requirements in an optimal and efficient
manner. The SE U.S. Customs Classification Manager supports the SE U.S. Customs
Classification team with oversite, management and execution of all HTS
classification activities!
This role reports to Head of Global Classification in the
region and will be based at the U.S. HQ location in Orlando, FL or Charlotte,
NC!
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Driveefficient and robust U.S. HTS classification and description procedures.Management of day-to-day HTS classification activity.
+ Directlysupervises, mentors, develops, and assists the SE U.S. customsclassification team members in the day-to-day HTS classificationactivities.
+ Analyzeand aggregate the causes of HTS classification issues and delays indriving improvement actions with our partners and staff. Implement U.S.HTS classification compliance supervising through metrics.
+ Workwith U.S. custom internal and external customers on all matters pertainingto U.S. HTS classification activities. Driving continuous improvement tostandardize processes and develop procedures.
+ Supportthe development and implementation of SOPs and trainings for U.S. Customsclassification team. Support with cross-functional projects related to HTStransactions.
+ Developstrong partnerships with SE U.S. business areas, communicating withfunctions across the organization regarding all transactional HTSclassification activities. Drive financial optimization through compliantuse of tariff engineering. Support the U.S. Customs Regulation team memberand head of Customs North America on HTS classification regulatorymatters.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations,
candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e.,
current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or
granted asylum.
What You Bring
+ 8+years of extensive experience in U.S. HTS classification, U.S.customs/international trade compliance. Bachelor's Degree—preferably inInternational Business or related field, Tax, or Finance.
+ U.S.customs broker license is preferred.
+ Excellentproblem solving, Project skills; including analytics, implementationstrategies, metric measurement and continuous monitoring expectations anddeliverables. People Management and leadership experience.
+ Abilityto collaborate with all levels within the organization to develop anddeploy effective solutions and broader strategies. Hands-on experience instreamlining and digitization of manual processes. In depth knowledge of19 CFR.
+ GlobalTrade Management technology/ERP experience such as: SAP, TR-One Source,MIC or other global trade management software. Ability to workindependently. Strong written and verbal communication / interpersonalskills. Presentation skills.
+ Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States withoutneed for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. SiemensEnergy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers.
