    Position Overview

    We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to support elementary and middle school students in New Castle, Delaware, two days per week during the 2025–2026 school year as a contractor (1099). This is an in-person, flexible, contract opportunity that allows you to make a meaningful impact with a manageable schedule.

     

    The Occupational Therapist will work with elementary and middle school students to evaluate their clients' needs and help each client improve their daily activities to achieve success both home and at school. Services may be delivered one-on-one or in small groups, depending on individual student needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide in-person occupational therapy services in one-on-one or small group settings

    + Plan and provide occupational therapy services for students between ages 5 and 13

    + Assess students to identify occupational needs including reviewing medical records, designing interventions, demonstrating exercises, and educating families and school staff

    + Write detailed evaluation reports

    + Maintain case records including service logs, progress monitoring, and goal reporting

    + Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    + Collaborate with school faculty, special education staff, and administrators

    Requirements

    + Active Delaware business license

    + Active Delaware occupational therapy license

    + Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

    + Minimum of one year of experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting (children aged 5 - 13)

    + Availability to work in-person, two days per week, during school hours (between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM)

    + Excellent communication, collaboration, time management, and organizational skills
