Position: FLETC Alternate Project Manager

Contingent upon award

Position Summary:

Assisting and backing up the Project Manager, the APM ensures continuous contract coverage and management presence during performance. The APM manages site operations, resolves emergent issues, interfaces with the Government, and supervises contract staff, maintaining contract readiness during the PM's absence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide site management/reporting in PM's absence

• Resolve operational and scheduling conflicts

• Maintain operational records and deliverables

• Oversee staff supervision, conduct training as needed

• Serve as alternate/POC for COR and government staff

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Three (3) consecutive years management/supervisory experience within the last five years

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse staff, meet dynamic requirements

• U.S. Citizenship

• Flexible/timely availability for shifts and site management

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Fluent in English

• U.S. citizen or authorized permanent resident

• 24/7 emergency contact availability

• Professional conduct

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the IC is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The IC frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The IC must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
