Job Title: Summer 2026 EHS Intern

Summary:As an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple EHS disciplines—including water and waste, air compliance, process safety, and occupational safety—within a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment. You will contribute to real-world compliance and improvement projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and develop practical skills in regulatory standards, safety systems, and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities Include:

Water and Waste:

+ Support water and waste compliance initiatives by assisting with NPDES and RCRA permit-related improvement projects alongside the environmental engineering team

Air:

+ Contribute to air compliance efforts, including Title V and RCRA Kiln incinerator permit activities, and lead assigned improvement projects

Process Safety (PSM):

+ Participate in process safety management (PSM) tasks such as process hazard analyses (PHAs) and incident investigations, while supporting compliance-related improvements

Occupational Safety:

+ Assist with occupational safety programs, including OSHA VPP and Responsible Care standards, and lead safety-focused improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

+ Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.

+ Essential competencies involve attention to detail, ability to work independently and in teams, and proficiency in using relevant software like Microsoft Office.

Program Qualifications:

+ The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.

+ The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August. \

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00
