    Provide administrative support, performs clerical and customer service functions, as well as non-technical duties in the hospital.

    Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

     

    *_Essential Functions_*

    Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers.

    Screens potential patients.

    Provides administrative support, performs clerical and customer service functions in a bariatric surgery clinic.

    Upkeeps supplies and educational materials.

    Medical records maintenance.

    Acts as the communication bridge between NCBI and independent bariatric surgeons and other medical practices.

    Ensures timely sharing of clinical documentation and surgical referrals.

    Monitors patient transitions from medical weight loss to surgical evaluation.

    Maintains accurate records of all interactions, hand-offs, and communications in EMR and liaison tracking systems.

    Resolves issues related to scheduling, records, or communication gaps within NCBI.

    Coordinates with patients and providers for back-on-track and stay-on-track programs in conjunction with NCBI.

    Participates in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery committee meetings.

    Works together to present as an institute rather than separate clinics.

    *_Minimum Education_*

    * High school diploma or equivalent required

     

    Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of patient relations in healthcare. Bariatric surgery experience preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
