Assistant Coach Cheerleading
The assistant coach assists the head coach in running a successful varsity cheer program which performs
and competes as an emerging sport in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)Division
III program and as a member of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA). This mainly includes
recruiting student-athletes, assisting with practices, competition coaching, and mentoring our student-
athletes. The assistant must understandand promote the mission, goals, values and educational ideals
of Oxford College of Emory University.
Job Description Cheer/Dance Assistant Coach-Competition Choreography
+ Assist the Head Coach in developing and administering a competitive NJCAA Competition Cheer/DanceProgram in accordance with NJCAA and University regulations.
+ Main areas of responsibility includecoaching and developing proper stunting techniques, tumbling and choreography.
+ Monitor student-athletes skill progress and provide feedback and motivation to help them improve their performance.
+ Ensure that all training sessions are conducted in a safe and effective manner.
+ This is a part-time (20 hours a week) position without benefits.
+ Performs relatedresponsibilities as required.
